Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to develop the unique abilities of all students and help them grow into open and confident individuals. We understand that true education goes beyond academics and involves discovering and developing specific interests and talents.
Our educational philosophy is based on an individual approach, which aims to help all students reach their optimum potential. At the core of our approach is caring for students’ mental well-being and developing empathy and mutual respect.

We promote a holistic approach to student development so that respect, caring and courtesy become ideals for students to live out at the same time.
At Livingston High School we promote an international mindset. In a world that is increasingly connected, it is essential to instil in students a global perspective and teach them to succeed in the international market.

Our goal is to raise our students into responsible, globally aware citizens who will be able to comprehensively perceive the cultures of the entire world.

Words from founders

The effort to create a school led my husband and I to found an elementary school and later the Livingston Grammar School. Our vision was to create a safe place where children are not only educated and encouraged to develop their talents and hobbies, but also where they are not afraid to make mistakes and explore their identities. We believe that supporting students and working with errors are crucial in the process of acquiring knowledge and maintaining motivation for learning.

We aimed to create a school that avoids extremes. It would not be a performance-driven institution that prioritises academic results at the expense of student well-being and development, nor would it be a free-type school that neglects the fulfilment of students’ maximum academic potential. In our opinion, such a balanced school was missing in the Czech market. Therefore, we combined what has worked well for us in elementary education for years: a kind and respectful approach to children, providing support both in success, where we help them reach higher, and in failure, where we collaboratively find ways to learn from it and use it for further development.

At the grammar school level, we wanted to implement an education system that is effective worldwide, allowing children to choose their specialisation and achieve results in both the Czech and international education systems, thus opening doors to global university education.
This is how we conceived and dreamed of a gymnasium. Our vision is to nurture self-confident and satisfied individuals who, by the end of their time with us, know where they want to go in life and have all the means to achieve it.

Greetings from our Leadership Team

Welcome to Gymnazium Livingston! It is an honour and privilege to be part of the team leading the development of our brand new Gymnazium as we set to create both an outstanding centre of education, but also a second home for our students where learning is not a chore, but a pleasure.

At Gymnazium Livingston, we offer a comprehensive bilingual program that seamlessly integrates the Czech Maturita with the globally recognised Cambridge IGCSE, providing a high-quality education at an affordable price.

Our curriculum is designed to cater to both Czech nationals and international students, ensuring that every student receives a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in a globalised world.

We are fortunate to have brand new, bright and spacious facilities in Cakovice, which provide a learning environment where both staff and students want to be.

Throughout my many years of international education experience, I strongly believe in the power of education to transform lives and open doors to the future. At Gymnazium Livingston, we are not just preparing students for exams; we are preparing them for life.

I hope you will join us on our journey…
